We're back!

An and I have settled our differences and brought back the site. You'll get a new site to enjoy each Friday remaining in the 2016 Summer Olympics; today's posting is below. Thanks and enjoy!

Mating game

Conan's "If They Mated" series, which shows you the comical lovechild of two Hollywood stars, is always good for some laughs. But haven't you always wondered what you and your love interest would produce if you mated? I thought so. Here's your chance with Your Daily Click. Results may vary, and be careful what you wish for. Enjoy.

Everyone's a little bit race-ist

"I don't even think the horses know that they're racing, do they? They must get to the end and go, 'We were just here! What was the point of that? This is where we were! That was the longest possible route you could take to get where you wanted to be! Why didn't we just stay here? We would've been first!'" - Jerry Seinfeld

This past weekend brought us the action-packed excitement of the Indianapolis 500. In most years, cars scurry around the two and a half mile rectangular oval track for about three hours and then drink milk. Snore! However, as this year's race was punctuated by a two and a half hour rain delay and with a full one-third of the laps run under a caution flag, how could anyone justify peeling their eyes away from the coverage?

But, like most activities in our world, racing can be made even more fun by taking it to outer-space. Thank the heavens for today's Your Daily Click. Fly your triangular space vessel around the track, but mind the walls. Enjoy.

Want to know more about your favorite songs and artists? I thought so. Here's today's Your Daily Click. Enjoy.

Portable music

If you've got one of those FM transmitters that you use to listen to your MP3 player on the road, you've probably run into the problem of static. It's hard to find the clearest FM station to transmit to, especially when you're in an unknown area. Well fear not, because Your Daily Click is here. It'll tell you which FM station will be clearest for you to use. Enjoy.

Color me Badd

Can you see music? Well sure, if you're at a concert, but what about when you're listening on the radio or on an MP3 player? Well today's Your Daily Click asks that very question and let's you give the answer.

What color is your favorite song? Enjoy.

Better late than never

Well, your final papers are probably already turned in. You spent hours in the library and on the Internet looking at others' research in an effort to complete the term paper of a lifetime.

So, when else would be a better time for me to bring you today's Your Daily Click? It's a simple but very useful site that lets you type in information about your sources and let it spit out a bibliographical citation for you. It's not cheating; it's just a resource that encourages you to use sources in the first place.

It might be too late to use it this semester, but bookmark it and save yourself some time next semester. Enjoy.

Meet me halfway

"Although the photographer and the art thief were close friends, neither had ever taken the other's picture." - George Carlin

I never thought I'd see the day when a gallon of gas costs more than a gallon of milk. Although milk does do a body good, sometimes you need to see that special someone more than you need strong, healthy bones. In hopes of defraying the travel expenditures, you decide that your brittle bones should meet at a location halfway between the two of you.

Rather than stress yourselves out and risk a bone fracture, take a gander at today's Your Daily Click. Enter your two locations and a desired type of meeting spot and let the mystical powers of the Internet solve your woes. As a bonus, if your conversation hits an awkward pause, you can discuss your shared calcium deficiencies. Enjoy.

Photographic memory

Stay with me, folks. I'm going to be keeping these writeups a little short these next two weeks. But that means you have less to read and can get right to the fun.

Today's Your Daily Click tests your photographic memory as it uses Flickr pictures in a game that is very much like your childhood favorite: "Memory." Enjoy.

WTF? (Volume 1)

A new feature here at Your Daily Click is "WTF?" which stands for "What the Friday?" On occasional Fridays in the future, we'll bring you some strange Web sites that either need no explanation or could use a lot of explanation.

Today's site fits into both categories. Step into the twisted mind of Mathieu Badimon (pictured above), whose Web site lets you interact with shapes, words and colors in different ways. Some are cool ("Block Clock" is my favorite), and some can only be described with three simple letters: "WTF?" It's Your Daily Click. Thanks to Joey for this site. Enjoy.

Worth a thousand words

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, in the days of endless space on digital cameras that means we better get started on writing. And by the way, I've seen some photos of drunken idiots at generic bars, and I've gotta say that I couldn't put together 1,000 words on those people. But I digress.

Today's Your Daily Click focuses on the simple relationship between words and pictures by letting you create your own picture-based art. You give the program a phrase of any length. I tried "Sticks and Stones," but they can be much longer and much more creative than that. It will then give you a suggested image for each word (like a stick for "sticks" or some stones for "stones"), but you can change the provided pictures. After you're satisfied, watch your masterpiece and send it to a friend. Enjoy.

Alpha(bet) male

"Why is the alphabet in that order? Is it because of that song? The guy who wrote that song wrote everything." - Steven Wright

When we are young, we learn the alphabet, not as a foundation for our spelling and reading skills, but as an evaluation tool to separate the weak from the the strong. But, in today's increasingly technological world, this antiquated verbal recitation has grown inadequate.

That's where today's Your Daily Click comes into play. Here you can see where you truly stand among your peers. A victory on this ABC battlefield guarantees success in life. Enjoy.

The end of something good

"I had a great time, and my only question is: If this is so great, why don't we turn off the TV for the other 51 weeks of the year?" — Benjamin Loxley, 2nd grader, Lewisboro, New Jersey

Yeah right, Benjamin, you little suck-up. That idiot actually thinks life without television would be better. Let's see how far that gets him with the ladies.

But really, where would we be without television? Just ask the TV Turnoff Network. Two weeks ago, these idiots decided to organize a campaign against television. Fighting against an American tradition is just something you don't do. That would be like me getting a bunch of friends together to protest apple pies. Everyone loves apple pies. And everyone loves the "vast wasteland" called television; that's why I'm bringing you Your Daily Click.

The reason for this site is simple: It's hard to remember when the season finale of your favorite show is scheduled to air. And it's a very simple (read: not interactive) site that lets you find out. Enjoy.

Clock circles

“The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.” — Albert Einstein.

Well, Albs, you're wrong again. How many times must I disprove the "great" thinkers of the world? But in reality, there is proof, in fact, that time does happen all at once, and it's in today's Your Daily Click. Months, days, hours, minutes and seconds all seem to fly by at an increasingly rapid pace — and all at the same time. It's as if time flies when you're having fun, and today's site can be a whole lot of fun. But a warning: Don't stare at the fun for too long. Thanks to Joey for this cool site. Enjoy.

Bored game

"Milk is for babies. When you grow up you have to drink beer." - Arnold Schwarzenegger

When you hear the terms mouse trap, operation, sorry, or battleship, you probably don't immediately think of ensnaring rodents, surgery, apologizing, or naval warfare. Instead, our twisted society has somehow embedded into our minds that these things are board games. Well, this is not a game, this is life (which, coincidentally, is also a board game).

The name "board game" is certainly no coincidence. The only real reasons to be playing one are if you are (1) bored or (2) drunk. And, as today is Friday (as confirmed by this previous Your Daily Click), you have likely fulfilled one of the two requirements to play today's Your Daily Click. Use your mouse to roll the dice and make your way across the board. Don't let the cops catch up or you will be forced to do some hard time at Milkatraz. Enjoy.

On the farm

"When his life was ruined, his family killed, his farm destroyed, Job knelt down on the ground and yelled up to the heavens, 'Why god? Why me?' and the thundering voice of God answered, 'There's just something about you that pisses me off.'" - Stephen King

God can be a real a jerk sometimes. But, "The hand strikes... and gives a flower." While farms may be synonymous with death and bereavement, when I think of farms, I also think of "rodeo clowns" and "Tom Cruise".

Today's Your Daily Click explores the connection first between things you can find on a farm and then far beyond those barbed wire fences. Type in your guess and see if it appears in the web. The lines joining the pieces together represent some sort of association between the words. There is even an option to save the game and combine it with a friend so you can work together. Enjoy.

100 STRONG... AND GROWING

We made it to 100 posts! Thanks for coming along for the ride. Thanks to An for helping each week and believing in this site from the beginning. Thanks to Lily, a consistent supporter. And thanks to you, the Daily Clickers, for checking us out when you're bored. So tell your friends!

Let's take this opportunity to look back on some of the links from the past 100 chapters of Your Daily Click. Here's what we hope we've done in the past 100 posts:

We've tried to educate you about the world, telling you about the good things, the not-so-great things and the bad things about this planet. We've even had a little fun with a map of the world and one of the U.S.

We've tried to wow you with some great art, giving you looks at photographs, opening credits to movies, recut movie trailers, packing tape and — for whatever reason — words. We've even let you create your own art. Oh, and then there's the art of dance.

We've tried to make you laugh, with the help of bunnies, inspirational messages and more inspirational messages.

But our most popular links seem to be the games, and we (read: mainly An) have managed to find some cool ones. We've given you games about math, monkeys (and more monkeys) and music. There have been machines, too. Machines for flying, machines for dying, and, of course, Deux ex machina (God on a machine).

We hope you've enjoyed everything we've given you. If you're just joining us, you can find some of the best of the best here. But rest assured there's plenty more to come. Enjoy.

Nodding off

"I come from a long line of fighters. My maternal grandfather was the toughest guy I ever knew. World War II veteran. Killed 20 men then spent the rest of the war in an Allied Prison Camp. My father battled blood pressure and obesity all his life. Different kind of fight." — Dwight Schrute in "The Office"

Our 99th post is a fun one. You choose your side between two of America's favorite NBC characters — Dwight Schrute from "The Office" and Donald Trump from "The Apprentice." Your Daily Click pits the two against one another with supremacy on the line.

Can you bobble and weave your way to a knockout? Enjoy.
