Renting movies or a pair of bowling shoes is a good deal, I mean who actually wants to own a pair of used, sweaty, ugly shoes? But when it comes to where you lay your head at night, renting is often the only option for people. Enter Your Daily Click. It’s a very simple Web site, but it’s useful nonetheless. You enter in your street address and monthly rent, click “Analyze My Property,” and the thing shows you how your rent compares with others in similar areas and with similar properties. Enjoy.

Happy Christmas, everyone. And welcome to the home stretch of 15 Days of Clicks. Lily sent me this site, and it's one I revisit often. It’s a daily photo blog by a Canadian. He’s an excellent photographer and the photos are beautiful. He posts a new one each day — anything from movie stars at the Toronto Film Festival to beautiful images or a new look at a familiar thing. Newspapers are great, but there’s all that pain of subscribing to one or spending precious quarters on them — and when you do finally get it, your hands get covered in ink. I hate that. It’s amazing to think that everything you watch on TV, everything you eat and everything you buy is decided on by a few men (and sometimes women) sitting in a stuffy boardroom. Well, today’s Your Daily Click gives you a closer look. You can create custom maps (or load a popular one) that gives you directories of those who sit on the boards of directors at major companies. Pick a company and see its board of directors. Then, select one of the members and see how many other boards he or she sits on. Daily Clicker Lily Wang submitted today's Your Daily Click a while ago, and it's one of the more interesting ones. She called it a great one for the "politically conscious Daily Clickers." It's a new view of the world that takes each country and resizes it based on certain characteristics, like education, population and more. There are some really telling facts there, like look at how small Africa becomes when sized based on wealth. Enjoy.
